October 2, 2025 is Levi's Day - with a few other items on our minds (VIDEOS)

The day of Thursday, October 2, 2025 will be a day we will never forget. It is a day when we took the afternoon off from the busy activities and just regular work and gathered at Peace Lutheran church in New London for a remarkable, down-to-earth, Holy Spirit-filled Celebration of Life for Levi Adrian.

Our hearts remain heavy, and that won't change for quite some time. Remember to reach out to others who you feel may be struggling, whether it's on an individual level or on a family level. Sometimes it's just too much. This goes for more than just when we're grieving the loss of a loved one. Life can be too much at times.

And here's my Fall Sports Show No. 5 of this season, recorded early this morning:

Soon, I'm heading west to the girls' tennis playoffs at Minnewaska Area high school. Then we have pep band and a home volleyball match to wrap up our day in Jaguar Country.

At tennis playoffs, Minnewaska Lakers head tennis coach Tara Reichmann provided a touching, heartfelt tribute to our school with recognition given to the difficult day we have had today. It was special to hear that from an athletic opponent. I've got more to write about it, but it really was a "you had to be there" type of moment. She is a sister of retired B-B-E superintendent Patrick Walsh.

Let's get to some volleyball.

Here's a video featuring the Seniors Night and the speech by Coach Borgerding:

I thought I had already shared it, but the dashboard shows no views as of tonight. So it's finally getting posted.

Tonight's match will be on Smooth Magic 107!  I will post volleyball updates here from the match.

*Update: late in game 1, the Bulldogs are ahead 21-19.
