Lady Jaguars Basketball - Shelled by First-Place Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted 76-54

Tonight on their homecourt, the Lady Jaguars basketball team overcame another slow start, falling behind 30-15 at one point in the first half, to recover and get within two points as halftime approached. After coming out of halftime with a 42-36 deficit, the Lady Jaguars fell apart in the second half and were throttled by one of the two first-place teams in the conference, the Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted Lakers (6-1 CMC, 12-4 overall). Both squads combined for an unheard-of 167 shots from the field. The Lady Jaguars went 17 of 97, however, for a season-low 17.5% shooting percentage. They will pick it up for their game this Friday, another home CMC game, against Holdingford. It will begin their second trip through the rugged Central Minnesota Conference schedule.
