Jaguars Fastpitch earns 8-6 road win at Browerville, a great win for sub-section standingsthe

The Jaguars fastpitch team evened their overall record on Friday night with an 8-6 win over the Browerville Tigers. Now 2-2 overall, they took some sting out of the 8-6 loss the previous night to Holdingford.

The Jaguars scored 7 runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to overcome a five-run deficit. Laura Johnson earned the win in 6 1/3 innings of relief pitching.

Browerville is a member of Sub-Section 5A-West.

The Pierz Pioneers baseball team made a big statement with a 5-2 win over West Central North Conference power Albany on Friday night. Pierz remains undefeated (4-0), while Albany falls to 3-1.
