Numerous CMC Championships earned by the Jaguars Track and Field teams on Tuesday

The Jaguars track and field teams traveled to Holdingford on Tuesday for the 2009 Central Minnesota Conference championships.

The pole vault wasn't held due to heavy wind; it will be made up on Friday.

The girls squad placed sixth, the boys squad placed fifth.

Osakis 2, Royalton 1

The Jaguars Fastpitch team, 10-8 overall, enters post-season action in Sub-Section 5A-West this Friday. The sub-section quarterfinal game is at home at 5:00 game against Swanville (10-5) in the Sub-Section 5A-West quarterfinals. Swanville was defeated 11-1 to Osakis on Monday and by Royalton 7-6 on Tuesday, both Prairie Conference games. Swanville finishes the Prairie Conference schedule at 8-4.

The Jaguars baseball team (5-12 overall) travels to Osakis on Friday for a 4:30 non-conference game. They wrap up the regular season next Tuesday in Elrosa against Royalton. The Jaguars have a shot at winning both games and taking a respectable record into sub-section playoffs, which start on May 22.

Osakis is 4-8 overall and 3-3 in the Prairie Conference.
