Jaguars baseball drops two in home double-header vs. Maple Lake by 8-1 and 11-1 scores; Up next: NL-S at Spicer on Saturday night

The Jaguars baseball team dropped two games in a home double-header at Elrosa to the Maple Lake Irish today. Scores were 8-1 and 11-1. The baseball team travels to Spicer on Saturday night for a JV/Varsity double-header. The JV plays at 5:00, with the Varsity to follow. Minneota Gophers public address announcer Dick Jonckowski will entertain the crowd at Green Lake Diamonds. Fan events will take place between innings.

Maple Lake improves to 11-4 overall and 9-2 in the CMC with the sweep. They trail first-place Eden Valley-Watkins by one game in the standings.

The Jaguars boys golf team narrowly finished second to Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted in the fourth Central Minnesota Conference meet of the season in a home meet held at Prairie View Community Golf Course today. Team results were: (1) Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted 165 (2) B-B-E 168 (3) Rockford 172 (4) Pierz 175 (5) Kimball/Eden Valley-Watkins 183 (6) Maple Lake 188.

I just looked at some cumulative season stats for the Jagaurs Fastpitch team, and it is great to note that they have 6 players all hitting over .300 on the season.

In another score, Minnewaska Area (7-8 overall) lost a home game in the West Central South Conference to the visiting Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City Falcons. The score of that game was 9-7.
