Elrosa Saints blow 8-2 lead after 6 1/2 innings, go on to fall 12-9 at New Munich in Stearns County League opener

The New Munich Silverstreaks, 2008 Stearns County League North division champions, pulled it out in the final three innings of play, overcoming a deep 8-2 deficit with a five-run eighth inning.

Elrosa now regroups to face Meire Grove in their home opener at Saints Field on Sunday, May 10th, with a 1:30pm first pitch. New Munich travels to Spring Hill the same day for a 1:30 game against the Chargers.

Around the Stearns County League on Sunday:
In Greenwald, the host Cubs lost their season opener to Meire Grove by a 5-2 score. The Spring Hill Chargers, defending Stearns County North League playoff champion, defeated Richmond at Richmond 3-0. Farming invaded Rangers country in Roscoe for the Flames' season opener and left town with a 2-0 win.
