A look around the Central Minnesota Conference - Volleyball

Pierz came into this weekend with a 9-1 record, while the Jaguars were 7-1 before last night's action. Maple Lake, who had a rough 2008 season in which they finished 11-15-2 overall, won their first seven matches of 2009 and was 7-2 coming into this weekend's Big Lake Invitational. Both teams appear to be the top challengers at this point of the season to the Jaguars if they want a "four-peat" at the top of the Central Minnesota Conference.

The rest of the CMC had the following overall records: HL-W-W (6-4), Kimball Area (5-4), Holdingford (2-4), Eden Valley-Watkins (1-6), Rockford (1-7).
