Random football notes...the last time Osakis was 5-0, the year was 2005 and the Silverstreaks went all the way to the Class A state semi-finals, where they lost to eventual state champion Springfield 34-17. Their only loss of the regular season was to Upsala-Swanville Area, who won in Osakis by a 3-0 score! USA was 2-3 coming into that game and finished 6-4 overall. Osakis finished 11-2. They also advanced to the state semi-finals in 2002.

Browerville is 5-0 for the first time since 2004, when they went 8-0 in the regular season and 10-1 overall after losing 37-6 to Ottertail Central in the Section 6A championship. Browerville actually played in the 6A title game in 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2006 - losing every time.

After its first 0-3 start in A-C-GC football history, the Falcons are on a two-game winning streak after holding LQPV to 45 total yards in their 14-0 win tonight in Grove City.

Sauk Centre was held to one total yard of offense (ouch!) while suffering 12 total quarterback sacks when they traveled to New London-Spicer in West Central North Conference action. The Mainstreeters had 39 carries of the ball on offense for a total of 0 yards; they were 1-of-6 in passing for one yard. NL-S is 0-5; Sauk is 2-3.
