Thank you to everybody who voted 'NO' on the Moorhead school referendum. Asking taxpayers for an extra $5.25M for the next 7 years is not the answer. It is time to take a stand and make proactive decisions, instead of reactive ones. The school district already receives $8,514 per student from state and local sources. With 5430 students, that works out to an operating budget of over $46.2M. They were asking for an 11.4% increase!!!! Will somebody please show me where can I get that kind of return on my money?
