Jaguars Volleyball pummels visiting Upsala, 2nd best Prairie Conference team, in 3-0 sweep - Up Next: Kimball next Tuesday

The Jaguars improved to 25-5 overall with their incredible 11th straight playoff-opening win with a convincing 25-15, 25-11, 25-14 win over the Upsala Cardinals tonight. They've won every playoff opening match since 1999.

The Jaguars now face the Kimball Area Cubs in a match that will be held next Tuesday night at 7pm in another home match for B-B-E.

Upsala finishes their season 19-6-1 overall, including an 8-2 run through the Prairie Conference schedule, good for second place behind conference champion Osakis.
Upsala was the #4 seed in the southwest pod of Section 5A.

Kimball Area defeated visiting Osakis tonight in a match that was "neck and neck" the whole way, with the Cubs prevailing 3-1.

Props to the Central Minnesota Conference for dumping the best of the Prairie Conference out of the playoffs!

Since the 1988 pairing, the Jaguars Volleyball team is 18-4 in playoff opening matches. The only years they didn't win at least one playoff matches was 1990, 1992, 1996, and 1998. This year marks the 10th straight sub-section quarterfinal win, going back to 2000 when they finished as Section 6AA-North runners up to Sauk Centre.
