cJaguars Girls Basketball takes a very tough loss at home to conference leader HL-W-W by 10 points **Jaguars boys basketball suffers third defeat

The Jaguars girls basketball team fall to 5-12 overall and 3-5 in the CMC with a 59-49 loss to Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted (9-0 CMC, 16-4). The Jaguars led 31-27 at halftime and still had the lead with 10 minutes left in the game before the Lakers converted turnovers into points and remained in control the rest of the way.

They now prepare for a road trip to Ashby on Friday night, to face the 6-8 Arrows. It's a must-win situation if they want to gain ground in the Sub-Section 6A-South standings.

Ashby just lost to Hillcrest Lutheran Academy 50-40 tonight.

The Jaguars boys basketball team fell by a 77-72 score at Dawson-Boyd tonight, shattering their 11-game winning streak in the process. The only consolation is that it was a non-conference, non-section game.

The Blackjacks led 48-38 at halftime, after jumping in front by 15 points in the early stages of the game. That long bus-ride probably didn't do the Jaguars any favors. (At least it'll give them a taste of what they face in the playoffs in Section 6A.)

Dawson-Boyd improves to 9-5 overall with the non-conference win. More on this game will follow on Friday.
