In 2003, they lost 53-52 in the Sub-Section 5A-North championship to Battle Lake, who lost to Hancock (3rd place Class A) in the section finals. They had split in Little Eight Conference play with the Battlers and finished 18-6 overall.
In 2004, they finished 14-8 overall and were upset by Henning in the first round of playoffs.
In 2005, they finished 12-9 and lost in the first round of playoffs to Parkers Prairie.
In 2006, they lost 51-43 in the 5A-South semi-finals to Bertha-Hewitt, finishing 17-10 overall.
In 2007, they went 19-7 and lost to Browerville in the sub-section semi-finals.
In 2008, they finished 21-7 overall after winning the Sub-Section 6A-South championship before losing to Norman County East in the section finals. The Comets had a 30-26 lead at halftime of that game.
Last season, they had a rare losing season, going 10-13 and losing the first round playoff game to Henning.
**This season, the Comets went a perfect 12-0 in Little Eight Conference play. They were one game out of the championship in 2007-2008, finishing 9-3 in the loop behind 10-2 Parkers Prairie.
