Henning started the season with a close 48-47 win over Underwood, ending up 2-2 four games into the season. Then they hit a six-game losing streak, which was highlighted by losses to some of the toughest competition in western Minnesota that included Park Christian, Bertha-Hewitt, and Barnesville. After that, they went 8-6 to finish the regular season with a 10-14 overall record, including 5-7 (5th) in the seven-team Park Region Conference.
