Cole Tensen falls in quarterfinals 3-1, Travis Winter wins 2-0 to advance to Class A Final Four!
Cole Tensen battled like a true warrior against defending state champion Jake Long tonight in the Class A individual quarterfinals, ultimately losing a 3-1 decision.
Tensen will go up against Casey Nunn of Frazee in the 145-pound wrestlebacks later tonight.
Travis Winter defeated Jarid Groth of Kenyon-Wanamingo in a 2-0 decision to land himself in the Class A semi-finals.
Winter will face Stephen Erlandson of Breckenridge/Campbell-Tintah in the 160-pound semi-finals on Friday in the 6pm session.
He joins an elite group of B-B-E wrestlers who have advanced to the Class A semi-final round, including Travis Rath (Class of 2009), Mike Felling (Class of 2002), and Brandon Bogart (Class of 1989). Bogart was a state champion.
