Jaguars volleyball wins 20th match of the season in a 3-0 sweep over Minnewaska Area

On Seniors' Night, the eighth-ranked Jaguars volleyball team came out with a hard-earned 3-0 win over non-conference Minnewaska Area on the home court tonight.

Every season since 2003, the Jaguars (20-2) have now won 20 or more matches. Following is the regular season record since 2002 for the Jaguars: 16-8, 23-3, 24-2, 25-3, 23-3, 26-1, 24-5.

Since 2005, no other volleyball program in Minnesota - in any class - has won as many matches as the Jaguars.

Tonight's match was aired on Smooth Magic 107. Following the win, Dave McClurg interviewed the two sophomore starters for tonight's match, Taylor Braegelman and Brittany Roelike.

Once again, thanks for the coverage, Dave!

On Tuesday (tomorrow) the Jaguars cross country teams will compete at the Central Minnesota Conference championships at Pierz. Six members of the Jaguars girls tennis team will play in the first day of the Sub-Section 5A-West individual tournament. That event concludes on Wednesday, held both days at New London-Spicer High School beginning at noon.
