More from the Paynesville Tournament

Heavyweight round opening match at Paynesville on January 14, with BBE's Matt Petersen and Zach Gibson from Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta/Hancock. Gibson, a junior, entered the tournament with a 15-1 record. Petersen, a sophomore, was competing in the first varsity action of his career.

Junior Daniel Rooney at the Paynesville Tournament, winning his opening round match by pin at 140 pounds against Brandon Bratsch of Renville County West/Maccray.
