Step two completed - Jaguars boys basketball drubs Brandon/Evansville

A great B-B-E Jaguar crowd was on hand tonight!

Final score from Jim Gremmels Court on the campus of the University of Minnesota-Morris: B-B-E 70, Brandon/Evansville 42. The Jaguars advance to the sub-section championship game to face the winner of the game going on right now at UMM. Read all about the game in next week's local newspapers.

In the other semi-final of Sub-Section 6A-South, #2 seed Battle Lake is destroying #3 seed (and conference rival) Hillcrest Lutheran Academy. With 7:10 left in the first half, the Battlers lead 17-1. (8:36pm on the clock) By the time halftime rolled around, the Comets began showing some life on offense and end up trailing 24-10 at the break.

When I left UMM tonight during the second half, Battle Lake had built an incredible 38-14 lead. They are the real deal. Final score: Battle Lake 43, Hillcrest Lutheran Academy 25.

I'll comment more on the game tomorrow. I'll also add a twist to this website, when I will be posting video from the Battle Lake vs. HLA game - strictly to help us scout them. I've been busy marking most of the regular season video clips of the Jaguars "private" - and I'll probably take most of the videos I have below off some time on Sunday too.

The sub-section championship game will be at 8:00pm on Tuesday night, March 15, back here at UMM.
