Jaguar girls' basketball loses a close battle with Brandon/Evansville

The Jaguars girls' basketball team had it down to two points, down 49-47, but ended up losing 64-58 to Brandon/Evansville, who improved to 10-3 overall. The Jaguars trailed 32-25 at halftime and were down by 5 to 8 points for a majority of the second half. With 8 minutes left, the Jaguars trailed 44-36. With 6 minutes left, they trailed 49-45. Then with five minutes left, they had cut it down to the two-point margin.

The B-squad Jaguars won 41-34 to improve to 10-3 overall. They are 4-2 in the Central Minnesota Conference with league losses to EV-W and HL-W-W.

Up next: a home game on Thursday with Pierz (4-1 CMC, 6-7).
