Jaguar wrestlers defeat Minnewaska Area

Final in a non-conference section match up of bordering wrestling rivals: B-B-E 39, Minnewaska Area 30.It's the first dual meet of the January schedule for B-B-E; they are now 6-1 overall and 3-1 against Section 5A opponents. Up next: a wrestling invitational at New London-Spicer beginning at 3:30pm this Friday afternoon.

At Pierz in the first half, the Jaguars girls' basketball team is in a 21-all tie tonight with the Pioneers.*Note: their game against A-C-GC has been moved up 6 days to January 25 in order to allow all B-B-E basketball fans to get to Melrose and cheer on our boys' basketball team! That night, January 31, the wrestlers will be at a triangular at Kimball Area.

At Pierz...another update: after they played a superb first 18 minutes, a 30-24 halftime lead did not hold up for the Jaguars, and the Pioneers went up by a double-digit margin in the closing minutes. Final: Pierz 54, B-B-E 41. The Jaguars fall to 0-6 in the Central Minnesota Conference.
