January 16, 2009
I remember that night. I was heading from Glenwood to Belgrade before was set to travel with a group of friends to the Roscoe Bar and Grill for darts and pizza.
My Chevy Lumina had trouble making it to Sedan, however, as the alternator blew up about 2 miles west of Sedan on Highway 55. Luckily it was a Chevrolet, and as a rule it could not leave me on the side of the road - especially considering the temperature was heading past 30 below zero that night!
I was able to limp the car into Sedan, park on the north side of the train tracks and walk the last 100 feet or so to Rooney's Bar.
Fast forward four years, and we're heading to another night like that next Monday - with temperatures approaching 30 below that night!
This album sure took awhile to get posted...over a week in fact...from the B-B-E Dazzlers dance team invitational at the high school on January 7:
