Jaguars take apart MACCRAY, Braegelman gets 1000th set assist

The Jaguars volleyball team swept a very good MACCRAY team on Parents Night tonight for their 17th win of the season. They won the first game rather easily by a 25-12 score.

MACCRAY fought hard in game two but lost 25-22, and they had little fight in them while the Jaguars were on fire while completing the shut out by a 25-14 score.

The Wolverines, who have three seniors on the roster with none being hitters, fall to 7-5 overall. They're 5-3 in the Camden North Conference, which is currently being dominated by powerhouse Minneota.

In game three, freshmen setter Hailey Braegelman earned her 1,000th set assist with the ace attack getting hammered down by Kinlee Swanson. The result was a 16-10 lead for the Jaguars.

And a rousing round of cheering for Hailey's achievement:

Flowers were handed out to all the parents tonight prior to the varsity match in honor of all that they do for the student-athletes and the volleyball program.

And action from game three tonight:

Up next: a trip to always-tough Sauk Centre tomorrow night for a border battle match between state-ranked teams. The Mainstreeters are 15-2 overall and ranked #11 in today's Class AA state rankings that are hot off the press.
