Jaguars seeded 2!

As of 10:00am today, the seedings are in!

The B-B-E Jaguars football team will host seventh-seeded Kimball Area (0-8) in the Section 4A quarterfinals next Tuesday, October 22. Kickoff is at 7:00pm. The 6th-ranked Jaguars (7-1) are seeded number two for their highest playoff ranking since the 1997 season. They were the number three seed in 1988 and 2012, but in the other 22 seasons of B-B-E football, they were always seeded 4th or lower. This is VERY cool: for the first time in B-B-E school history, the Jaguars will host their second first-round playoff game in a row. That in itself is a HUGE accomplishment when considering where the program has been in past years. My predictions for how the seeding played out held true...they were posted last night.

I have a great deal more playoff-history-related information to post some time over the weekend.

Once the QRF numbers were computed, it was evident that K-M-S could not leapfrog Kimball and avoid a trip to Minneapolis for their playoff opener.
