Dams!
As in ice dams!
This morning I noticed the biggest ice dam I've ever seen on our house. It had to be six inches thick.
Then I realized I had to start attacking the 10 to 12 inches of snow that was blanketing the lower portion of our southern roof line. I have to admit, it was a nice workout pulling that snow off of the roof.
And on a somewhat related note, although I had nothing good to say about MN-DOT's efforts at working the roads on Monday, Pope County was on top of the ball. On my road in the area of the Pezehkee National Golf Course, Pope County did wonders getting out on Monday and then Tuesday to open up paths for me to get in and out.
Bravo!
I was raised in the country and now am living my dream of living in the country. Most of the year it's spectacular to live out here. Not like weeks like this when traveling is dangerous to life and limb!
