Saints win playoff opener

The Elrosa Saints defeated Spring Hill by a 5-2 score today in the opening round of the Stearns County League amateur baseball playoffs. They host New Munich in the SCL-North division championship game at 12 p.m. noon on Sunday, August 2. The Silverstreaks beat Meire Grove 4-0 in the other division opener.

No word yet on how Regal fared in an elimination game against Norway Lake-Sunburg. *Update: the Eagles won 3-1! They play in Atwater tomorrow at noon against New London-Spicer in the final County Line League elimination game. The winner advances to regions.
