Stunning loss
In case you haven't heard by now, the Elrosa Saints amateur baseball team lost 6-0 to Roscoe in the opening round of the Region 15C tournament today. The key statistic of the entire game: the Rangers left six runners stranded in nine innings; the Saints left 14 on base. This is one of the most shocking baseball losses I've seen in my life.
The Saints, sent to the elimination round, face Atwater at 4 p.m. on Sunday, August 9 in Roscoe. The Chuckers were the regular season champions of the County Line League. They were beaten by New Munich this afternoon.

Today's been an incredibly busy day. Belgrade's August Fest activities, events and celebrations were terrific right through a tremendous fireworks display. Bravo!
