Amateur baseball

Kevin Kuefler watches ball four pass by as he batted in the bottom of the seventh inning. He was the only baserunner Elrosa got in that inning, as the Saints were held to just one hit through eight innings by New Munich starter Jim Thull.
In the final game of the regular amateur baseball season, the New Munich Silverstreaks traveled to Elrosa this afternoon and went home with a 2-0 win.

Spring Hill is gunning for their ninth win in the Stearns County League with a game at Farming today. They are 8-4 in the SCL-North division after squeaking out a 7-6 win at Chargers Field; they scored the game-winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning. Today through five innings, Spring Hill held a 6-4 win over the Flames.
*Update: Spring Hill won 10-4 to finish the regular season with a 9-4 mark in the SCL-North. They win the division title alone. New Munich finished in third place with an 8-5 record, while the Elrosa Saints were third with a 7-6 mark.

Farming (10-2) is the SCL-South division champions, regardless of the outcome of today's game.
