The B-B-E Jaguars boys' basketball team fought valiantly against a very good Parkers Prairie team tonight in the Sub-Section 6A-South quarterfinals. By halftime, the Panthers held a 33-30 lead. The Jaguars fought to a 39-39 tie early in the second half, but from there the Panthers size plus what was a very noticeable disparity in the willingness of the referees to call pushing fouls (as one example) took its toll on the Jaguars.
Final score: Parkers Prairie 70, B-B-E 53.
The Jaguars finish the season 10-17 overall, which is rather terrific considering that they started the season returning just 11 points per game of offense. They should be very proud of the season they had!
That's all for now. I am still emotionally spent.
