Third straight

The B-B-E Jaguars boys' basketball team defeated subsection rival Swanville 54-41 on the home court tonight. It was a tight game through the entire first half and the first six to seven minutes of the second half.

With 10:30 left in the game, the Jaguars held a 37-32 lead. Up to that point it was essentially a one-possession game.

Ethan Schwinghammer had a career night with 18 points on 67 percent field goal shooting. The Jaguars shot 41 percent from the floor.

Next: the Jaguars (6-9) host Kimball Area in a tough Central Minnesota Conference match up with the Class 2A Cubs. Kimball is 10-3 overall and 4-1 in the CMC, tied for second place with Eden Valley-Watkins. They are just one game out of first place behind Maple Lake (9-3, 5-0).

Tomorrow night the girls' basketball team hosts Holdingford (9-7, 3-3) in a very important CMC match-up. Also tomorrow, the wrestling team travels to the Eden Valley-Watkins triangular that also includes Osakis.
