This week for varsity sports

On Monday I'll update this blog post between writing sports stories and other news stories. I'll try to get radio broadcast notes and other items on here.

The B-B-E/Paynesville dance team recently competed at the Alexandria Invitational on Saturday at Alexandria Area high school.

Nothing's on the schedule on Monday night this week besides a B-B-E speech team parent meeting. I hope parents have been on the ball in regards to encouraging their high school student to join speech. Don't get me started on the parents who are delinquent in this matter!!!!!!!!!! (face turns red)

Parents who coddle their children - could their be a bigger pet peeve of mine? Coming in a close second is kids who can't pull their eyes off their phones to talk to other people, even when they're right in front of them trying to communicate.

*Correction: tonight - the newspaper has incorrectly posted that a general tour of the elementary campus by the school board will be (tonight)...it will be on Monday, January 28 at 7 p.m. at the elementary school. The regular monthly school board meeting will follow at 7:30 p.m.

Tuesday:
The B-B-E Jaguars boys' basketball team hosts Pierz in a Central Minnesota Conference game. Meanwhile, the B-B-E Jaguars girls' basketball team travels to Maple Lake for a CMC contest.

Thursday: 
The boys' basketball team hosts HL-W-W.
The girls' basketball team travels to Upsala.

Friday:
The B-B-E Jaguars wrestling team travels to the Paynesville Invitational (4 p.m.).
