Huge road win at Pierz

The B-B-E Jaguars boys' basketball team remained well in the hunt for at least a piece of the Central Minnesota Conference title. At Pierz on Thursday night, the Jaguars had another three-point shooting display with 10 made shots beyond the arc in a thrilling 67-64 win.

Now 13-9 overall, the Jaguars are 7-4 in the CMC and prepare for undefeated Osakis (22-0) later tonight. They are now precisely one game out of first place and in third place alone in the CMC standings after Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted lost 70-65 to visiting Kimball Area last night.

Eden Valley-Watkins, idle tonight, is in first place in the CMC at 8-3. In second is Maple Lake at 8-4. HL-W-W is 7-5 in fourth place, while Pierz is in fifth place at 6-6.

At home on Thursday night, the B-B-E Jaguars girls' basketball team capped the regular season with a 70-34 blow out win over Kimball Area. It was also Seniors and Parents Night (video to come)...the Jaguars were clicking all throughout the second half and pretty much all of the first half.

Kimball Area finishes 7-7 in the CMC and is 14-10 overall heading into their Section 6AA playoffs.

Next for the girls' basketball team is the playoffs on Thursday, February 28 at 7 p.m. on the home court. They will take a 21-5 record into the sub-section playoffs.
