Border battle: B-B-E vs. K-M-S

Game updates will follow here this evening from the B-B-E Jaguars girls' basketball team's game against Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg at Belgrade. It will be carried by both radio stations.

*Update: the Jaguars are off to a great start with a 7-2 lead after two minutes of play.

*Update: with 4:44 left, the Jaguars have a 21 to 18 lead.

Halftime: B-B-E 28, K-M-S 23.

Second half update: after two Jenna Dingmann free throws, the Jaguars are ahead 39 to 25 with 13 minutes left in the game.

Final score: B-B-E 57, K-M-S 42. With the win, the Jaguars improve to 7-8 overall and 1-0 against Section 5A opponents. Tomorrow they have another border battle with a trip to Paynesville.

K-M-S fell to 7-8 overall; they are 6-4 (second) in the Camden North Conference. Madison Rohner led the Fighting Saints with 16 points, while Maret Gjerde added 10 points.
