Here's the end of the first half on Thursday night's girls' basketball game:
The Royalton Royals have been a great addition to the Central Minnesota Conference this season. They fell behind 15-4 in the first half but stormed back to gain a 23-21 lead at halftime. Both teams employed stifling defense the entire game.
Saturday update: the weather has brought some changes to local events. Bar Bingo at the KaDe Shack will not be held today. Also, a predator hunt in the Sedan area, culminating with awards and supper at Rooney's Bar, has been postponed to Saturday, February 1.
Also, Music Residency night at Goat Ridge Brewing Co. in New London has been cancelled for tonight. They are being held on Saturdays throughout January.
