State wrestling consolation matches

In a nutshell...

132 pounds
Blaine Fischer won his consolation semifinal match by a 4-0 decision. For the second straight year, he will compete in the third-place match at state. This is a great honor for a sophomore!

145 pounds
Canon Swanson won his consolation semifinal match by fall (2:01). He will also wrestle for third place tonight in St. Paul. This is the fifth straight year he will earn state wrestling hardware. This is terrific!

In basketball news...
Tonight's girls' basketball game will be aired by Lakeland Broadcasting's Bill Dean. He will broadcast on 1340 AM as well as 96.3 FM. Bill reported to the Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper's sports department that the game will also be live streamed (audio) at http://www.kwlm.com.
