(VIDEO) B-B-E Jaguars punch in touchdown

The B-B-E Jaguars football team scores in this video to cut the Upsala/Swanville Area lead to 20-14 in the final minute of the fourth quarter today:

The final touchdown came with 18 seconds left in the game on a five-yard reception in the end zone by sophomore Jamison Reed. B-B-E had just driven the length of the field!

A 99-yard touchdown drive in the final minutes of the fourth quarter, with the game in the balance. That is some GOOD STUFF! The touchdown drive started with 2:02 showing on the clock after the Jaguars made a valiant goal-line stand. The USA Patriots were looking to "put the game away" and take at least a 26-8 lead, but B-B-E had something to say about it.

Even though they lost, I could not be prouder of this Jaguar football team. They got down 14-0 in the first quarter, but their fighting spirit was still intact. And they fought back. A win was not in the cards this time.

Game stats:
The Jaguars had their best offensive showing of the season with 291 total yards, including 196 through the air and 95 on the ground. Santos Sorenson led the ground game with eight carries for 47 yards. Quarterback Tanner Shelton had his best game with a 14-for-27 effort including two touchdowns. What ultimately cost them the win were four turnovers, two lost fumbles and two interceptions.

Defensively, leaders were Gavin Kampsen with eight solo tackles and three assists, Nevada Feucht with seven solos and four assists, and Triston Guzier with six solos. Feucht had one quarterback sack, and Guzier had two tackles for a loss.

*Update: the Monday home J.V. football game against USA will start at 4 p.m.
