LIVE video tonight, and the number SIX

The numbers 5, 1 and 0 take new significance for the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa community. For the latest one-week period, the zip code areas of Belgrade, Brooten and Elrosa (population ~ 4,285) had a total of six COVID-19 cases added to the cumulative case load: five in 56312, one in 56316 and none in 56325. Elrosa has gone at least six weeks now with no COVID cases.

These numbers were reported to the Minnesota Department of Health for the period of Thursday, January 28 through Wednesday, February 3.

In terms of the MDH case count, the number 6 for this week and 5 for last week brings us a COVID number of 26 over a 14-day period to average it out for a case rate of 10,000 people (population-wide across Minnesota).

Today the MDH reported that the seven-day test positive rate is 4.3 percent. This is a very good sign.
