Tight ball game

The Minneota Vikings won their 37th straight home game by defeating the B-B-E Jaguars girls' basketball team 42-38 today. B-B-E's nine-game winning streak comes to an end. It was a superb, terrific ball game from start to finish. The Jaguars suffered a very difficult scoring drought from the 12:25 mark to the 6:04 mark of the second half. That ultimately spelled doom, but they stayed in the game with guts and defense.

Minneota (10-0) built a lead as large as 42-33 before the Jaguars mounted an ill-fated comeback. Allisa Knight's three-point play capped the scoring to bring the Jaguars within the final deficit of 42-38.

Neither team scored a single point over the fnal two-and-a-half minutes of the game.

Abby Berge and Allisa Knight led the Jaguars with 12 points each.
