Saints in the win column again (And please go to Sunburg today!)

On Saturday morning at New Munich, the Elrosa Saints amateur baseball team got back in the win column with a 6-1 win over the Silverstreaks. B-B-E Class of 2019 graduate Peyton VanBeck earned the complete-game pitching win with eight strikeouts and four hits. Younger brother Will VanBeck had a two-RBI double, and Kevin Kuefler and Peyton Winter each earned two hits to help lead the offense.

They evened their Stearns County League North record to 2-2 with the win. The Saints (2-3 overall) host Richmond today at 11 a.m.

Today is a fast and furious day!!!...mostly centered around Syttende Mai festivities in Sunburg. Remember! The grand parade is at 3:30 p.m. I encourage you to bring the family to watch! It's our area's first full town celebration parade since 2019. The schedule was published this week on page 6. Also, it was a full-page ad on page 7 in the May 6 issue of the Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper.

Also! The Chippewa Falls Lutheran church has a drive-through/take-out Syttende Mai Norwegian smorgasbord dinner. Their advertisement was on page 5 this week, and they serve today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Below is video featuring the graduation seniors car parade on their last jaunt through Brooten before they traveled to Elrosa on Friday night:

They were an excited bunch! We are so proud of our 2021 B-B-E high school graduates!

More to come.
