Jaguars advance in baseball playoffs (VIDEO)

The B-B-E Jaguars baseball team kept their season alive with an exciting 5-4 win over Browerville today in the elimination bracket of the Section 6A tournament.

Action featured is from the bottom of the fifth inning at the home of the Clinton Cards amateur baseball team in western Minnesota.

The Jaguars (11-11) are playing at New York Mills today. Their next elimination game is at approximately 5:15 p.m. today.

*Update: the K-M-S vs. New York Mills winner's bracket game is still underway at 5:30 p.m. Final score: New York Mills 2, K-M-S 1. The Fighting Saints take their first loss of the season and fall into the elimination bracket of the Section 6A tournament.

The Ashby Arrows (22-2) ended U/SA's season with a 1-0 win earlier today at Bluffton. Ashby lost 5-4 in eight innings last Thursday in a winner's bracket game to New York Mills.

*Tuesday night update...the Jaguars and Arrows are tied 1-1 after two innings of play.

Final score: Ashby 8, B-B-E 2. The Jaguars see their season come to an end with a 12-12 final overall record. They played five games deep into the Section 6A playoffs.
