Back to winning

After taking a tough loss on Wednesday, the B-B-E Jaguars girls' basketball team picked up a marquee win against state-ranked Cass Lake-Bena to conclude their two-day tournament in the St. Cloud Metro area. The Jaguars rocked CL-B in the first half while forging a 49-24 lead by halftime. The final score was 81-57 against a team that entered the game ranked No. 3 in the latest state polls with a 7-0 overall record. The Jaguars, who shot a robust 49 percent from the field and went 23-of-33 at the free throw line, improved to 8-2 with the win.

B-B-E scoring: Abby Berge 22 (12 rebounds), Allison Dingmann 21 (10 rebounds), Brooklyn Fischer 21, Tiyana Schwinghammer 4, Anna Jaeger 4, Bree Thieschafer 3, Shelby Anderson 2, Kailey Fischer 2, Ella Halvorson 2.

Here's a video recorded last Thursday, one week ago, when the Jaguars faced Litchfield:

Thursday night update: in their second game of the week, the B-B-E Jaguars boys' basketball team defeated Nevis 60-57 in a game played at Sartell-St. Stephen high school tonight. The Jaguars (5-2) held a 60-54 lead in the final seconds, when the Tigers (8-2) made an uncontested three-pointer at the buzzer.

More to come later. My day went off the rails this morning, and it won't be on track until much later tonight. I was able to finally get new COVID-19 case zip code information posted on the Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper website. You can see that by clicking here: https://bit.ly/3sMEfce.
