Central Minnesota Conference girls'BBall scores on December 7:
Kimball Area 66, Eden Valley-Watkins 59
Royalton 63, Maple Lake 29
EV-W has started 1-2 this season. The Eagles won 55-32 against former CMC rival Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted at HL-W-W high school in the season opener. In their second game that was also their home opener, the Eagles lost 44-36 to Minnewaska Area.
Royalton, who appears to be the biggest threat to the Jaguars in the CMC, sits at 3-1 overall. They lost at defending Class 2A state champion Albany in the season opener by a 64-52 score. The Royals beat Long Prairie-Grey Eagle 70-24 in their second game. Last Saturday at St. Cloud Apollo high school, the Royals won 75-42 against the St. Cloud Crush co-op. I read a couple articles recently about the St. Cloud Crush co-op, and it is just crazy. It boggles my mind that St. Cloud Apollo and St. Cloud Tech high schools have paired a handful of their athletic teams. What on earth is going wrong in that city? Where to begin.
Paynesville Area (0-2) and Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City (1-2) don't start their CMC games until Friday this week.
