Game updates to follow tonight, as those of us living out in the land of Rocks and Cows are set to enjoy a home boys' basketball game.
With 3 minutes left, the JV Jaguars trail 46-41 to Osakis. *With 1:20 left, the Silverstreaks have a 47-41 lead. Update: with 27 seconds left, the Jaguars trail 49-46. *Update: with 7.2 seconds left, the Silverstreaks have a 50-46 lead. They had missed three free throws in a row, but they sank the fourth try to give them the two-possession lead. Final score: Osakis JV 50, B-B-E JV 46.
The B-B-E Jaguars boys' basketball team is hosting Osakis tonight. Tip-off for the varsity game should start around 7:15 p.m. It is being aired on 106.5 FM The Train of Norway Lake-Sunburg. Osakis is 1-1 overall and averages 68.5 points a game. They gave up an average of 64 points a game to this point. In their season opener on December 3 against Eden Valley-Watkins, Osakis lost 58-56. On Tuesday this week at Paynesville Area, the Silverstreaks won 81-70.
