Jaguars girls' basketball improves to 2-0 in CMC
In a home game with Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City, the B-B-E Jaguars girls' basketball team improved to 2-0 in the Central Minnesota Conference with a 74-40 win over the Falcons. Three players scored in double figures, and the Jaguars led 55-25 at halftime. Next: the Jaguars have a huge battle coming up on Saturday with state-ranked Minneota coming to town. The schedule of Saturday's games was published in this week's Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper. Hopefully you're a subscriber!
Noteworthy: the top four girls' basketball teams in the CMC are currently a combined 21-2 overall. They include B-B-E, Kimball Area, Royalton and Holdingford. The one loss in that mix is from B-B-E defeating Holdingford.
No word yet on the boys' basketball game at Eden Valley. UPDATE: the B-B-E Jaguars boys' basketball team led 30-22 at halftime at Eden Valley...but unfortunately, they were outscored badly in the second half and went on to lose by a 60-54 score. They are 2-2 overall and have a break in competition until next Thursday, December 23, when they travel to Minnewaska Area for a border battle.
More to come. It was a "double duty" night that began with the home dance competition at the elementary school.
***And don't forget! This Saturday is Santa Day in Brooten. The full schedule with everything you need to know was published on page 8 in this week's Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper. (Again, I hope you're a subscriber!)
