Two wins and a loss (VIDEOS - *UPDATED)

In their home game tonight, the B-B-E Jaguars girls' basketball team fell 47-44 to Eden Valley-Watkins in a Central Minnesota Conference clash. The Jaguars (11-6, 5-3 CMC) displayed outstanding defense from wire to wire. However, ice cold 25-percent field goal shooting ultimately led to their demise. Tiyana Schwinghammer gave a near-Hurculean effort with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 5 steals. EV-W improves to 9-7 overall and 5-2 in the CMC.

The boys' basketball team defeated Royalton, although I don't have a final score yet. *Final score: B-B-E 73, Royalton 51. The Jaguars (12-3, 6-1) shot a robust 52 percent from the floor while making seven of 10 free throw shots in the Central Minnesota Conference game. They keep pace with Eden Valley-Watkins, who is also 6-1 in the CMC.

At Benson, the B-B-E Jaguars wrestling team defeated the Braves 61-15 to improve to 11-0 in dual meets. Next for the wrestlers is a huge, huge quadrangular at West Central Area high school, Barrett, MN on Thursday, February 3. Other teams included are Central Minnesota Conference teams Royalton-Upsala and Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City.
