Two basketball wins (VIDEO)
Against the undefeated and No. 2-ranked team in Class 1A, the No. 19-ranked B-B-E Jaguars boys' basketball team played with fire in their eyes as they shocked Cass Lake-Bena with an 82-69 win. Five B-B-E players in double figures was too much for the Panthers to handle, as they dropped to 15-1 overall on the season.
The final score could have had a wider margin, but the Jaguars shot a cool 66 percent at the free throw line on 42 charity shots. The Jaguars (14-3) now prepare for a tough non-conference game at Browerville tomorrow afternoon in a boys'/girls' doubleheader.
In a home Central Minnesota Conference game, the B-B-E Jaguars girls' basketball team picked up a 62-37 win over Maple Lake. Tiyana Schwinghammer led the Jaguars with 19 points, four rebounds and four steals. B-B-E improves to 13-7 overall and 7-3 in the CMC. They also head to Browerville tomorrow.
