Today is GAME DAY in Jaguar Country!

The No. 6-ranked (Minnesota Basketball News) B-B-E Jaguars girls' basketball team will tip off at about 2:37 p.m. against Browerville. This is a big Section 5A game! It's got stakes! More to come. *ALSO! The varsity games are being broadcast on 106.5 FM The Train of Norway Lake-Sunburg. Thanks, Bill!

*Here's Tanner Shelton talking after the game on Thursday night in Brooten:

GAME updates to follow! Let's go, Jaguars!

With 13 minutes left in the first half, the Jaguars hold a 12-6 lead. The Tigers held a 2-0 lead after the first minute. B-B-E gained its first lead with 15:53 left on a three-point play by Abby Berge for a 5-4 score. The Jaguars surged across the last 7 minutes and hold a 41-15 lead at halftime. Leading the way are Abby Berge and Tiyana Schwinghammer with 12 and 11 points, respectively. Schwinghammer drained a downtown three-pointer with one second left from the right wing.

The girls' basketball team won by a wide margin. I did not grab the final score. It's been a blur here! Great crowd on hand!

UPDATE in the boys' basketball game: the Jaguars hold a 17-14 lead with 7:31 to go after Brady Schwinghammer canned a three-pointer. The Tigers are 13-2 overall and rated No. 20 in Class 1A on the QRF. They entered the game with a 66 points-per-game scoring average with a defensive average of 49.9 points per game. HALFTIME: B-B-E boys' basketball holds a 31-25 lead. Kaden Pieper has 13 points, while Luke Dingmann and Brady Schwinghammer each have 6 points to lead the Jaguars.
