GAME NIGHT! (VIDEO)

This is GAME NIGHT again in Jaguar Country! This is a recurring theme as our girls' basketball team continues a lengthy homestand...tonight our B-B-E Jaguars girls' basketball team hosts Royalton in a conference game. The Royals have revenge on their minds after getting blown off of their home floor in an 84-52 loss at the hands of our Jaguars back on January 12. The Royals (13-9 overall) are currently ranked No. 8 in Section 6AA by the QRF scale.

The Royals are fighting for a hypothetical runner-up finish in the CMC; they are currently in third place alone with a 7-4 mark. The Jaguars are in second place alone at 9-2, while Holdingford leads the pack with an 11-0 mark. The Huskers, winners of seven straight, look to clinch a share of the title for the second straight season with a win at fifth-place Eden Valley-Watkins (9-12, 5-5).

*Here's a video featuring the final minute or so of the K-M-S game:

The action ends around the 2 minute mark in the video. I forgot to shut off the recording as halftime got underway. **This game will be aired on The Train, 106.5 FM!

Updates to follow. UPDATE: the JV girls' basketball team lost 38-35 in overtime. Ouch!

*In the varsity game...with 6:43 left in the first half, the Royals are ahead 17-12. They are currently on a 13-3 run after B-B-E had a 9-4 lead with 13:30 on the clock. B-B-E has since gone stone cold.

HALFTIME: Royalton 27, B-B-E 22.

**In the second half, Tiyana Schwinghammer's 10-footer tied the game with 14:49 left with a score of 27-27.

Later with 3:15 left, Royalton has a 40-38 lead. **Now with 1:15 left, the Royals have a 42-40 lead. B-B-E was within a hair's width of earning a valuable press turnover, but Royalton called a timeout to bail out their trapped player on the far baseline. **Now with just 2 seconds to go, the Royals have a 44-42 lead, and the Jaguars have to go the length of the court to at least tie it up. I will post again later tonight. Tomorrow is printing press day! **22:10 on the clock (military time) and this blog post is a wrap. A new one is coming up.
