A mild week as we prepare for State Semis! (VIDEOS)
The temperatures surpassed 60 degrees yesterday across the Bonanza Valley area. Farmers have been able to continue field work and other outdoor work in preparation for the upcoming winter. I'm happy we will be able to get this next weekend behind us without any winter weather to speak of! The week continues to be a week that is telling everyone to spend as much time as possible outdoors!
If you haven't heard, the state semifinal football game is at 11:30 a.m. in Minneapolis. Before that, however, we have the opening night of the B-B-E fall musical the night prior! Friday night, just two days from now, the musical opener begins at 7 p.m. Order your ticket in advance!

**Here's a video from the opening two minutes of the second quarter in the state quarterfinals:
On the final defensive play of that video, the Jaguars forced an incomplete pass when Noah Kampsen and Mason Commerford collapsed on quarterback Levi Hahn on a 3rd-and-8 play. The Crusaders then punted with 10:46 left in the second quarter from their 44-yard line.
On to Saturday!
The Minneota Vikings are defending Class 1A state champions. I haven't done a great deal of studying on them yet. I hope to get to that tonight. Now it's time to head west to the printing press!
