Volleyball is ready! Let's be there for the team! (VIDEO)

The B-B-E Jaguars volleyball team is geared up and fully prepared for their sixth straight sub-section championship match! It's still almost 24 hours away as I type this, but it's not too early to start getting excited! I really hope we are able to overwhelm the West Central Area fans with our numbers and our volume. I honestly believe we can do it even though we've all got about an hour extra of driving to get there compared to WCA Knights fans.

Finally - here it is! The full clip of game 5 last Friday night:

The 13th-ranked Jaguars will face an incredibly tough team, West Central Area, at Fergus Falls high school tomorrow night. The WCA Knights are 21-6 overall, and they have gotten especially tough across the last half of the regular season and now in the playoffs. It will be a very, very tough lift for the Jaguars.

Also, the camera I was using had a technical glitch (the zoom stuck) at the end of the video clip. This illustrates the ongoing battle I have keeping all my cameras and equipment operating in tip-top condition.

It's worth noting that West Central Area is located right next door to Fergus Falls. The match will be very convenient for them to attend!! This means we can expect their entire community to pack their side of the gym. We have to pull out all the stops to do the same with our crowd. It is a good problem to have. I hope we have many more "logistics" problems to resolve in the coming weeks with our teams!

**Breaking news from the heart of Stearns County! This is exciting. The four-lane stretch of Highway 23 has been completed between Paynesville and Richmond. The detour was lifted as of Thursday, November 2.

Congratulations to the Paynesville Area volleyball team, as they advanced to the Sub-Section 3AA-North championship match for the third straight season. They will face New London-Spicer (15-10) in the finals on Thursday in Willmar. The Bulldogs are two-time defending sub-section champions and were also sub-section finalists in 2017.

Area volleyball playoff scores on October 31:
New London-Spicer 3, Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg 0
Canby 3, MACCRAY 1 (Wolverines finish 21-10; they won the Camden North Conference title with a 9-2 record))
Minneota 3, Renville County West 0 (upstart RCW pushed the top-seeded and top-ranked Vikings but fell 29-27, 25-23, 25-18)
Pequot Lakes 3, Minnewaska Area 0
Sauk Centre 3, St. Cloud Cathedral 0
Albany 3, Holdingford 0
Melrose Area 3, Staples-Motley 0
