9 Jaguars score in road win at ACGC...and another Sports Show! (VIDEO)

What a night! What a game! What a huge win!

Here's my Winter Sports show hot off the recording reel:

In Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City, the B-B-E Jaguars girls' basketball team had nine players score in a 46-40 win against the Falcons. The game had a wild final stretch. The Falcons, badly wanting to defeat the visiting Jaguars, banked a three-pointer with under 2 minutes to go to regain the lead. The Jaguars played a huge game in the final 90 seconds to claim the six-point win.

A brutal first half played out to draw with a 19-19 score. For the game, the Jaguars shot just 27 percent from the floor. They were sent to the free throw line 32 times and made 18, enough to get them on the winning side. B-B-E launched 22 three-point attempts but made just two. Brooklyn Fischer score 17 points to lead the team. Bree Thieschafer had 9 points with 8 rebounds.

Next: the Jaguars (8-6, 4-2) host Maple Lake next Tuesday, January 16. The Falcons fall to 7-4 overall and 2-3 in the CMC.

Central MN Conference girls' basketball scores on January 11:
Eden Valley-Watkins 52, Maple Lake 25
Kimball Area 66, Paynesville Area 40
Holdingford 75, Royalton 47

**A warning for city residents...you should check the temperature of your tap water. I'm afraid we're in the process of many homes seeing their water lines freeze up. It seemed like we came close to a freeze up in our house in Brooten. You likely need to run the water when you leave your home for any amount of time.

More to come on Friday morning with another update to this blog post.
