B-B-E high school hosts prom grand march (VIDEO)
The sun came out at just the right time this afternoon, and we had a marvelous prom grand march in Jaguar Country! The temperature at the conclusion of the grand march was 62 degrees! Even better: B-B-E high school hosted the most couples for the grand march since 2019.
Here's a video recorded at the high school after the grand march was held:
Two more events to come for prom: the ever-popular dance, and then post-prom!
Sunday will be dedicated to gardening and outdoor activities. We are expecting full sunshine and highs in the upper 60s. Our family garden could definitely use some more heat. Also, I will be interviewing a special retired farmer from the Belgrade area. He and his late wife raised some of the toughest Belgrade Redmen female athletes in the 1970s and 1980s.
Also! The annual Scrub Run in Glenwood, in support of staff of Glacial Ridge Health System employees, is coming on Saturday, June 8 along Lake Minnewaska. Additional details can be found here: https://glacialridge.org/event/scrub-run-2024 ...and also in upcoming newspaper issues.
And here's a web article highlighting the upcoming Syttende Mai celebration hosted at First Lutheran Church of Norway Lake in conjunction with the Norway Lake Lutheran Historical Association...click here: https://shorturl.at/pABFK. This was also published on page four of last week's newspaper.
